Here is a quick over view of the Falcon while being dry fit.

In these two pics of the gear doors you can see where styrene was added to fill in the hinge openings since I will be building it gear up.

The Cockpit

This is the kit supplied cockpit. I'm not sure what the submarine looking bulkhead is all about.
This view shows just how far off it is. Note there are only two seats not four and they sit too far to the rear.
Here is a side by side with the new scratch built cockpit and tunnel.

The tunnel got a touch of detail although not much of it will be seen. Dry fit of the new cockpit Here it is with the new seat configuration.

Gun Turret

This is the kit parts for the gun turret At this angle you can see the huge void it leaves. Its nothing like what we saw Luke sitting in. Now this is better. The tube with flat sides still need to be painted. Note the new seat and controls.

Another look at the right side And this view shows how it will look when its all closed up. This is how the back side of the new turret looks.
